Sylvester Ritter was born December 13th 1952 in Wadesboro, North Carolina and died June 2nd 1998 in Forest, Mississippi.  The Junkyard Dog was a former football player and wrestler for the WWF.

The Junkyard Dog was a 1 time WCW World Six-Man Tag Team Champion, Wrestling Classic tournament winner in 1985 and WWE Hall of Famer in 2004.

While wrestling for the WWF, JYD feuded with wrestlers like The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, Kamala, King Kong Bundy, Hacksaw Butch Reed, Harley Race, the Funk Brothers, Adrian Adonis, Greg The Hammer Valentine and Outlaw Ron Bass till he went to the WCW in 1990.

While in the WCW the Junkyard Dog had feuds with Ric Flair till he left their too.  And then fought in independent wrestling promotions like the ECW.
