Ron Simmons was born May 15th 1958 in Perry, Georgia.  Faarooq is a former football player and wrestler.  Ron Simmons was best known in the NFL and in the WWF and WCW.

Faarooq is a 1 time WCW United States Tag Team Champion with Big Josh, 1 time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, 1 time WCW World Tag Team Champion with Butch Reed and 3 time WWF Tag Team Champion with Bradshaw.

Ron Simmons came to the WCW in 1988 and feuded with The Steiner Brothers, The Rock 'n' Roll Express, The Four Horsemen, Arn Anderson, Barry Windham, The Freebirds, Butch Reed, Oz, The Diamond Studd, Lex Luger, Cactus Jack, Big Van Vader, The Barbarian, Rick Rude, Dr. Death Steve Williams, Dustin Rhodes and Paul Orndorff till going over to the ECW.

In the ECW, he feuded with Shane Douglas, 911 and Mikey Whipwreck till going to the WWF/WWE.

Faarooq came to the WWF in 1996 were he stayed for 13 years and feuded with wrestlers such as Ahmed Johnson, The Road Warriors, Crush, Savio Vega, Los Boricuas, The Rock, D-Generation X, The Brood, the Spirit Squad, Santino Marella, Steve-O, Jonathan Coachman and Carlito till his retirement.
